Africa has been a source of inspiration to European artists ever since. In addition to art and music, Europe's world of fashion has been particularly inspired by the multifarious repertoire of African patterns and colours.
But, Africa is not only inspiring others. A long time ago, an independant and vibrant fashion scene has developed in Africa. For the first time, Oumou Sy, an African top designer, stages a fashion show in Hamburg, Germany. 40 Haute Couture Creations, 20 creations of the King's collection, fabrics and jewelery will be shown. This series of pictures by Bilderberg photographer Thomas Dorn will give an insight into the world of Oumou Sy from Senegal. Music and Africa are the central subjects for Paris-based photographer Thomas Dorn.
